  Who Should Join

Anyone who is interested in working on Facility Security issues is welcome to join the Facility Security Working Group (FSWG).  Currently, the FSWG has set up three Subcommittees - the Access (ASC), Regulatory (RSC) and Education & Outreach Subcommittees (EOSC). 

These Subcommittees have set up twelve (12) Task Groups (TG) to work on outstanding issues identified by the FSWG:

Currently, the ASC contains members that are working on three TG items

1 - Seafarer General Rights Document
2 - Seafarer Access, Vendor Service Access Survey
3 - Government Relations

Currently, the RSC contains members that are working on seven TG items

1 - Identify and Review Regulations involving Seafarer's General Rights
2 - Identify and Review Domestic Regs involving Facility Security
3 - Identify and Review International Regs involving Facility Security
4 - Identify and Gather Information Relative to Proposed or Upcoming Regulation Changes
5 - Develop SSI Training Program
6 - Develop Facility Security Plan (FSP) Access Control Template
7 - Review Regulations and Events Surrounding Vessel Arrival Process

Currently, the ASC and RCS Subcommittees contain members that are working on two joint TG items

1 - Develop Standardized TWIC Training for Escorts
2 - Identify and Review "Lessons Learned" from facilities that have installed TWIC Readers

The EOSC will begin organizing and scheduling their first meeting in 2011.
